Deconstructing Racism Day Declared in New Mexico

Updated: Jan 7, 2019

After almost twelve years the core group of volunteers who have planned the Anti-Racism Day in New Mexico are announcing Deconstructing Racism New Mexico Day on January 22, 2019.

There will be some opportunities to join us on January 22 in Santa Fe to recognize the day in the morning at the state legislature but we want local communities across the state to 1) sign the pledge, 2) push the proclamation in their local governments (city/town/village, county, school board or college) and 3) plan a local activity. Resources are available at our new website, www.deconstructingracismnewmexico.org.

Deconstructing Racism New Mexico is a project of a coalition of individuals and organizations including Domestic Violence Resource Center, New Mexico Asian Family Center, Together for Brothers and UNM Community Engagement Center.
